Jesus: prophet, friend, saviour, lord, king… do you relate to any of these descriptions?
We believe that Jesus was the Son of God, both human and divine, sent by God the Father to the world. Jesus demonstrated God’s nature and His purposes for the world, in words and actions, and sometimes miraculously. His gruesome death on a cross opened the way for us to experience peace with God and those around us. We can be reconciled through the forgiveness of all the sins - attitudes and actions - that separate us from God and neighbour, and prevent us from becoming the people we were intended to become. Jesus’ resurrection from death shows us that death is not the end for those who believe in Him. And while we’re still on earth, His Spirit is alive in each of His followers, inspiring, transforming, and empowering us to live the lives we are called to. |
